Christmas

In the states we tried to do Christmas simply.

We have the kids each get three gifts (They always get an ornament too...SO the ornament, stockings, and clothes don't count--cause I love giving gifts!), and Santa brings one gift, I think from now on he will bring a family gift.  Last year it was money to do a monthly family date, but because of Korea, we didn't really do it. We did go bowling, and a major car trip, but mostly the money went to paperwork in order to come to Korea.  

ANYWAY...We tried to follow that again this year.  A few gifts for the kids, and one Santa gift. 

White Holly or Holly White (we can't decide on the order of her name)  visited us in Korea--Good thing Santa keeps good records of where the good little boy and girls live, even if they move!

We enjoyed finding her everyday--Some times she would bring a gift--like a stocking, our nutcracker soldiers from home, or Christmas lights...but mostly we found her watching us from somewhere in the apartment.  This was her goodbye note she typed before leaving. 

This was our wonderful Christmas morning!

It was a great Christmas.

Thanks to Mom for a fun Christmas box! Our church Branch Presidency gave us some popcorn, a card, and some candy--thanks! Thanks to Lois for her kind card and gift---and Aunt Patsy for a Christmas card!!

I guess the good thing about having your bedroom also be the living room is never leaving bed to open Christmas gifts---Wheeler is sharing his gifts with Lucas.

BEST KIDS IN THE WORLD!!

Wheeler grabbed this fish out of my hands!  He is quick!!

OK -- Here is the fish.  This is actually one of those microwave handwarmers, but I bought it as a Christmas ornament because it is SO Korean.  They sell these on every corner--they are fish shaped waffles that are filled with a sweet red bean paste.  

Lucas got a cheesecake!  It took him days to eat it--our stomachs sure have shrunk!!

Wheeler LOVED his new bike/stroller.

Santa gift: An activity to the play place at the local supermarket--It looks really fun, but never seem to go--Plus dinner and dessert at a restaurant the kids have been wanting to try. 

I took a lot of video so I will try to upload it at some point in time.

Christmas night I was working so we didn't do the normal Christmas stuff.  We did have Hot Coco.

The next morning we opened gifts and at 11:00 we went to our friends house for a brunch.  We met some other great people and ate bacon for the first time in 6 months!! YUMM!!

The girls and I put together a fun paper gingerbread house and Santa toy factory, which turned out to be a little more difficult then it looked and got thrown away by the end of the day.  

That night we watched a Christmas movie--OK the girls did while I napped. 

The girls practiced the Nativity, but it actually never officially was performed!

It was a very simple, very nice Christmas.
